Jeanne & Mitchell are Married!

July 13, 2011

Last weekend was filled with purple flowers here at Alluring Blooms!

We created some beautiful floral pieces for Jeanne & Mitchell’s Friday wedding at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Madison. It was also our first reception at the lovely Edgewater Hotel on Lake Mendota in downtown Madison. Steve, and his staff, were fantastic to work with. Very accommodating & helpful!

Lets get to some pics, shall we?

Here’s a great pic of Jeanne & Mitchell – courtesy of Fred Lutz of Lutz Photography in Ellsworth, WI (www.lutzphoto.org). Aren’t they sweet?

Here’s a close up of the bride’s bouquet – photo also courtesy of Lutz Photography. Thanks for the images, Fred!

It was a round hand tied bouquet made of a mix of roses – big white ‘Polar Star’ roses, roses various shades of purple – ‘Amnesia’, ‘Ocean Song’ and ‘Blue Curiosa’, white ‘Patience’ garden roses, and ‘White Majolica’ and ‘Little Silver’ spray roses. Simple and elegant.

The maids bouquets were a mix of flowers in white and purple. Roses, spray roses, lisianthus, standard size and mini carnations. The purple looked great with the jade green dresses. I really enjoyed making these bouquets. I just love, love LOVE those beautiful grayish purple ‘Amnesia’ roses. I’m obsessed.

For the reception we used two styles of centerpiece to add visual interest. One was a low 10″ lily bowl with floating blooms and floating candle.

The other was a 14″ hurricane vase with floating blooms and floating candle. All the tables were sprinkled with rose petals and lots of votive candles! Gotta love the glow of candlelight.

We also got to make this really cute cake topper. I loved the swirls on this pretty cake – beautifully decorated by Craig’s Cake Shop of Verona.

So there you have it. Jeanne and Mitchell’s sophisticated, elegant wedding. It truly was a pleasure working for you Jeanne & Mitchell. We wish you many, many years of happiness!

Up next, Jamie & Jeff’s yellow rose wedding!
