A few months ago I had the honor of standing up for -AND- doing the wedding flowers for my amazing friend Stephanie and her handsome husband Chris. This week I was so thrilled to get an email from their very talented photographer, Molly from m three studio. (www.mthreestudio.com) Thank you, Molly, for the beautiful images!

Stephanie and Chris had a gorgeous ceremony and reception at The Heidel House in Green Lake, WI. They were married in an outdoor ceremony right next to the lake.

For the ceremony we went with a very gauzy wedding canopy to filter the sun. The poles were adorned with woodsy greenery and some floral accents.

The aisle was lined with short shepherds hooks and mason jars filled with rustic blooms.

Stephanie wanted a large bouquet filled with wildflowers in shades of yellow, blue and white. I had such a great time making her bouquet. It was filled with white stock, white veronica, yellow ranunculus, yellow billy balls, blue anemone and thistle. I felt soooo lucky to get this blue anemone in at the end of it’s season.

Stephanie’s bouquet was wrapped with navy blue ribbon – and included a special memento to honor her parents who’ve passed – their wedding bands.

The maids carried similar bouquets – lots of stock, anemone, thistle, billy balls, ranunculus – very rustic.

I loved that we all got to pick out our own dress style and shoes! Note to brides: it’s ok to trust your maids to pick out a dress and shoes that are flattering to them as long as its in your color palette. Check out these adorable yellow shoes! And the even more adorable BLUE shoes Stephanie rocked!

I loved the guys bouts! They were so masculine – thistle and billy balls accented with navy wire.

The reception centerpieces were made up of an assortment of mason jars and milk glass filled with rustic blooms.

Stephanie put her heart and soul into tons of personalized details that are not pictured here. They really made the wedding special and memorable. They had the most adorable escort cards I’ve seen – they were these cute tags hanging on a big carved wooden fish! From the ceremony song selection to the candy bar items (gummy sharks – yes, I said gummy sharks) to the lawn games during the cocktail hour to the super fun live music at the reception, their wedding was just a blast.

Stephanie & Chris – thank you for giving me the opportunity to stand with you on such an important day. And thank you for letting me create these floral pieces – it truly was a day I’ll never forget.

Lastly, thank you to my husband, Matthew, and my mom (in-law), Joan – your help with set up while I was off having fun was appreciated more than words can say. You guys are the greatest.
